The Best American Bully Breeders In The United States

The Best American Bully Breeders In The United States

The American Bully is a relatively new dog breed that is known for its easygoing and stable nature, despite the wrongful claim that it is an aggressive dog breed.

They are gentle and affectionate towards people, which is why many love to take them as a family pet.

The American Bully breed is very impressive with a bulldog-related muscular body and appearance. It makes for a very clever guard dog that puts its master as its first plan.

It is like the American Pitbull Terrier in terms of stability and devotion, but it gets its easygoingness from the American Staffordshire Terrier.

The breed was recently recognized by the United Kennel Club (also known as the UKC), as well as the American Bully Kennel Club.

Since this dog breed is so new, sometimes it can be difficult to find good breeders out there.

We’re here to help you find your perfect companion dog, and the best way to do so is by examining the different bloodlines out there for you to choose from!

American Bully Puppies For Sale

We know it can be difficult to find a reputable breeder that you can trust to sell you a top-quality American bully.

That is why we have prepared a list of the best kennels that we have found in which you can be sure offer the best bloodline of high-quality American Bully puppies out there!

You always want to make sure that the breeding programs that kennels offer are tailored to what you are looking for in a dog.

1. The Bossy Kennels – Kurupt Bloodline

The XL American Bully lies in the grass

The Bossy Kennels pups come from the Kurupt bloodline. This bloodline is an incredible enrichment to American Bullies. They include larger American Bullies that are known as freakish.

Their goal is to breed Bullies that will appear to be dangerous, but in reality, have the most fun-loving temperament.

The people at Bossy kennels are experts in breeding this bloodline, especially if you are looking for an XXL American Bully in the states. In addition to the XXL, they also breed the XL and giant size types of this breed.

The Kurupt Bloodline of American Bullies are related to the Pitbull fighters from a century ago. However, this bloodline is larger in size when compared to the Pitbull.

The most extreme version of this bloodline is a dog that is referred to as a Kurupt Blood Panic, and it has a head that spans the size of a whopping 27 inches! This dog is used all over the world for breeding in other Kurupt Bloodlines.

The great thing about this bloodline is that it has a relatively great reputation. The breeders who breed these dogs are known for their care and ethical concerns.

The drawback is that some claim that the dogs this breeder produces are not truly American Bullies. However, considering the relative novelty of the bloodline, we can understand others’ hesitation in recognizing the dogs they breed.

If you are interested in learning more about this bloodline, you can visit their social media Facebook group.

2. Dave Wilson – Razors Edge Bloodline

American Pitbull Terriers stand in the water

Dave Wilson is known to produce Razors Edge pups.

Razors Edge has now become a family name in American Bully breeding.

If you wanted to find Razors Edge Pitbulls back in the day, it proved to be extremely difficult.

The game changer was Wilson’s dedication to the breed. He decided to direct all of his passion in developing the Razors Edge Bully name across America.

Thanks to his difficult endeavors, Razors Edge Bullies are now considered one of the top American Bully breeds.

Wilson began his journey by attempting to make his dog’s body structure strong and athletic. He produced excellent American Pitbull Terriers, but was quickly prevented from continuing to do so.

Wilson then began to tinker with genetics and wanted to produce a dog that would be more “bully.” After he found the best dog he could to start the new bloodline, he got down to work.

The dog he chose belonged to Kimmar Kennels, which are known for breeding amazing American Bullies. The dogs that they breed are known for being extremely muscular and strong.

People who are fans of this build are usually big fans of Kimmar Kennels. It is common for the XL and XXL Bully kennels to breed this bloodline.

If you want to learn more about Razors Edge pups, you can find them on their Facebook page and ask all of your questions to one of the greatest breeders out there.

3. West Coast Gottiline – The Gottiline Pitbull Bloodline

If you are a fan of the Gotti Pitbull, you might enjoy West Coast Gottiline American Bullies!

This breeder is a “mom and dad couple” who are known to produce pups from the Gottiline bloodline. Gottiline is known for being one of the greatest American Bully bloodlines.

Like Wilson, the founder of the bloodline, Richard Barajas, started his American Bully journey by using a bully stud from another bloodline.

Barajas purchased the stud from Grey Line Kennels after his former dog passed away.

The stud he used can be traced all the way to Showtime, who is known as the main female of the Grey Line Pitbull line.

Barajas got Gotty back in 1997, and because of their muscular builds, the dogs in this bloodline were named the Gottiline Pitbulls.

Gottiline first became popular in the states before it became known in Canada, China, Japan and the Philippines. However, the dogs’ appearance shifted over time to what we have today.

The breeders in the Gottiline breeding program attempt to produce dogs that will be huge and bulky. The breeders are known to breed dogs that are excellent in weight-pulling sports.

Even though they look rather aggressive and dangerous with their savage appearance, they are teddy bears deep down.

They are known to have really friendly personalities that radiate with positive and soothing energy.

4. Remyline Exclusive Kennels – The Remyline Bloodline

If you want to try your luck purchasing a dog from the Remyline bloodline, look no further! Remyline Exclusive Kennels is the best place to start.

It isn’t surprising that this bloodline was developed from the Razors Edge Bully bloodline.

Fabian Chichester created this bloodline back in 2004. Remyline is known for its development of excellently bred dogs for over fifteen years now. In fact, people go berserk for these high-quality dogs!

The breeders developed the breed by breeding a male from Razors Edge by the name of Lowjack’s Remy Martin, and crossing him with a female Pitbull Terrier.

The funny thing is that they didn’t do this with the purpose of developing a new bloodline at all.

However, the male bully that was produced was considered to be so excellent that everyone wanted to use his semen to develop more Bullies.

The stud was named Remy, which is how Remyline got its name. You can find over a thousand Remyline Bullies nowadays. American Bully Kennels are still crazy about this bloodline.

The unique thing about this bloodline is that Chichester attempted to create the bloodline from the same stud, which is something that many breeders would never attempt to do.

As a consequence, each dog from the Remyline bloodline appears to be very similar, which makes them very attractive for many people.

Many kennels try to copy what Chichester accidentally did with the two dogs he crossed by attempting to produce an excellent stud of their own, but it seems that this was a unique and happy accident. Chichester was very lucky!

If you are interested in learning more about these Remyline breeders, you can contact them for more information.

They were bred to be athletic and sporty, but the great thing about Zarate Bulldog Kennels is that they breed pups with an excellent temperament.

However, this bloodline doesn’t have the standard Pitbull appearance with its short build and wider body.

These dogs are known for their muscularity, long limbs, and larger size, just like standard American Bullies.

What Types Of American Bullies Are There?

You might be reading this and wondering what Bully types and variants (as well as exotic mixes) are out there now that you’ve heard about all the different sizes that these kennels and bloodlines offer.

Not all American Bully breeders specialize in all of the variants.

You might be asking yourself: which one do I choose?!

It’s true that none of these types will disappoint you because they’re really loving dogs, but you still might want more information.

Initially, the American Bully had four different categories: Pocket, Classic, XL, and Standard.

But, nowadays, there are five American Bully variants, with the addition of the Extreme.

There is no average weight for every type because weight should depend on the body structure of the pup.

An American Bully weighs approximately around 66 to 88 lbs, and the characteristics of each type can best be found on the American Bully Kennel Club (ABKC) website.

Here is a short breakdown of each type of bully, so you can figure out which one is right for you when you begin your search!

1. The Standard American Bully

The American Bully stands in the grass and looks around

The Standard is what you think of when you think about an American Bully pup.

They’re very loving and devoted to their family members, particularly if they get the love and nourishment that they need in order to develop into wonderful adult dogs.

They might look rough around the edges with their rugged and savage appearance, but, in fact, they are very social, and will even be friendly towards strangers that won’t do any harm.

You shouldn’t be surprised, though, if your Standard becomes defensive just like any other dog if it encounters an ill-meaning person or an aggressive dog — that is normal behavior.

What you should note about the Standard is that it has a high pain tolerance, which might sound great at first, but can prove to be fatal if not kept in check.

American Bullies have a tendency not to display signs of pain and quietly experience the stress that it causes their body.

2. The Pocket American Bully

The Pocket is very similar to the Standard, but it is different in terms of size and the time it takes to reach adulthood.

It is the shortest of all American Bullies, but it still has the musculature of the typical Bully breed, which makes it unlike other… well, cute and fluffy “toy” dog breeds.

They’re usually the first choice for owners who adore the breed, but also appreciate its smaller size.

A typical owner will appreciate the flexibility of the Pocket if he or she has an average lifestyle when it comes to how much time he or she can dedicate to taking care of the dog.

3. The Classic American Bully

The American Bully rests on a green surface

The Classic and the Standard have a very similar personality.

The two are both rather bold, stable, and social. They are known to create intimate bonds with their dog owners, particularly if the owner showers them with love and affection.

They are known to be quite devoted and patient, willing to please their owner.

The Classic is known to get along well with children and well-meaning strangers, but they can also display defensive tendencies when it comes to their family and territory.

Just like the Standard, these pups have a high pain tolerance, and are known to be quite strong and athletic.

4. The XL American Bully

This breed is the largest of the American Bully variants, with its huge muscular appearance and heavy body structure.

It is larger than the Standard, and it has great muscle mass.

It should, however, follow the same standard as the other breeds, without any of its features being exaggerated.

5. The Extreme American Bully

Extreme American Bully stands on green grass

This is an exotic Bully type.

The Extreme is heavier and larger than the Standard, with thicker and heavier bones.

It also is known for having a higher rear compared to other Bullies.

How Much Does An American Bully Cost?

a black american bulldog sitting on the grass

Even though Pitbulls and American Bullies might be similar, the price of an American Bully might vary from the standard Pitbull puppy cost.

The average price of a high-quality American Bully can be anywhere between $2000 and $5000, but you can also find Bullies that are between $500 and $800; however, you should not expect them to be purebred.

Here are the different factors that determine the price of an American Bully: type, breeder preference, and bloodline.

1. Type

As we have discussed before, there are five types of American Bullies, and how much you pay for one depends from type to type. For instance, the average price of the Standard is around $2500, whereas the Pocket is around $2000.

However, there are also other factors that influence an American Bully breeder’s decision when it comes to price, which might affect the cost more significantly.

2. Bloodline

We talked a lot about bloodlines above, and for good reason. The reason why a bloodline is so important is due to the consistency of the characteristics that appear with each generation of puppies.

A good bloodline will be consistent in its production of healthy pups, with similar characteristics according to the breed standard.

Some might argue that it is better to spend on a high-quality bloodline because you will avoid spending time at the vet (which means lesser costs in the long term). You will find a dog’s health tested and tried by the very quality of its bloodline.

You will find that the high-quality bloodlines that we have discussed above are more expensive than lesser known ones, but you will be sure to get a healthy dog with certain tried and tested characteristics in the long run.

However, this isn’t to say that you can’t find breeders out there who produce Bullies that don’t fall into conformation of the breed standard, but that are otherwise healthy, happy dogs that can be your best companion.

American Bully dogs come in different varieties, so you will have to decide which one is the best for you.

3. Breeder Preference

You can also find top-quality Bullies sold by American Bully Breeders below the threshold price of $5000, but it’s also easy to find those who will sell a dog for a lower quality way beyond that threshold.

There are different types of breeders out there, so you want to make sure that you are getting your money’s worth when it comes to the dog you are purchasing. After all, getting a good dog is a big investment!

Make sure that the breeders you work with are reputable as well as tried and tested by other dog owners.

A good breeder won’t purposely withhold information, and will be happy to give you the contact of their former clients.

Conclusion: The Best American Bully Breeders

We hope that we have been able to help you out on your journey when it comes to finding the best American Bully breeders out there.

Remember, this is just the beginning to finding the best American Bully breeders, and it is certainly not an extensive list.

Make sure that the pups you find out there have been bred by reputable breeders who understand what effort it takes to breed the best American Bullies.

You might want to search for new breeders based on the type of American Bully you want to purchase.

Just make sure you do a lot of homework before you finally make your decision — a dog is always to be understood as part of the family!
