Many stray dogs usually live in isolated places, and that is usually because of other humans. The pups tend to be abused, so they develop a fear of being around us.
Then, they end up usually in abandoned or dirty places that are far away from anything, so they no longer have to endure all the pain.
However, this dog was different. He was probably not abused, but he still preferred being in an isolated place. The funny thing is: He lived in an elevator.
I know, it sounds odd. Even though people who work at the railroad nearby would sometimes use the elevator, he never bothered anyone.
Luckily, he would no longer have to live in such a place because a Good Samaritan who saw the pup called for help.
He Looked So Sad

When a Good Samaritan notified Suzette Hall, founder of Logan’s Legacy in California, about this pup who lived in an elevator, she realized that something had to be done.
Who knows how long he was living in that elevator? It’s hard to even count the amount of time he was riding in the elevator while people were going up and down.
Nobody was really bothered by the pup’s presence. Some even brought him food, but it was clear that this was no place for a dog.

When somebody finally called for help, Hall’s friend, Mary Nakiso, was in the area, so she quickly intervened and went to save the pup.
Mary quickly got to the area, but she couldn’t just enter. She needed permission, so she asked one of the workers if she could get inside.
The people working there let her in, and they showed her where the pup was staying. When they opened the elevator door, Mary realized how scared he was by the noise.
He Finally Felt Safe In His Rescuer’s Arms

He looked like he was very cold and confused. He had no idea who this woman was or what she wanted. But, Mary was able to quickly convince him that she was only there to help.
When that finally happened, she wanted to get the dog out as quickly as possible. The workers held the door so she could safely take the pup away.
Mary placed him inside the car and quickly helped him get comfortable inside. It was probably the first time he felt such kindness and warmth from another human being.

While it’s safe to assume that the workers at the railroad helped by giving him food, this was the first time someone truly showed him how much she cared.
Thanks to this quick intervention, this pup was now going to the shelter in California where he would receive food, medical help, and a roof over his head.
They will try their best to help him regain his confidence so that he can be placed on an adoption list soon. After what he has gone through, he deserves to live a quiet and peaceful life with someone.
