Californian Rescuer Came Up With Clever Way To Rescue Pup Hiding Underneath A Truck

If you ask any animal rescuer what the most important qualities one needs to save animals are, I’m pretty sure that most of them would reply with patience, perseverance, and a little bit of luck.

Every rescue mission is unique, and no matter if it is difficult or simple, one thing remains the same – our furry friends deserve to live in a safe and loving environment.

That is why every single rescuer will do their best to ensure they receive this lifestyle as soon as possible.

It was certainly the case with Bella, a frightened little pup who spent days hiding under a truck, too scared to trust anyone. Luckily, help came just in time.

Rescue Mission

This rescue mission started when Bella was spotted trembling under a truck near the neighborhood of an incredible rescuer based in Los Angeles – Suzette Hall.

The second she heard about this little angel in need of help, she hopped in her car and made her way to the location. Her close friend and fellow rescuer, Hilary Klein, arrived on the scene before her in order to get eyes on the situation.

As Hall arrived, the two looked around before finally spotting Bella. She was absolutely trembling with fear, clearly too nervous to let anyone approach.

The second she spotted the rescuers, she swiftly moved over to another truck, making it clear that she was not ready to trust anyone. It was at this exact moment that the rescuers realized they were in for a long night.

That is why the rescuers knew they had to come up with a clever plan in order to catch the pup. Hall figured out that setting up a trap and tempting her out would be the best way.

She bought everything, from burgers and bacon to teriyaki chicken and hot dogs – anything she could think of to get her to trust them. But, Bella was still too scared. She would only come out to sniff the food and quickly retreat under the truck.

Be Patient

As the sun began to set and the neighborhood got dark, the rescuers began to worry. The hours passed, and Bella refused to come out. But, the rescuers also refused to give up!

Hall decided to go buy another hot dog and place it inside the trap, hoping the pup couldn’t resist its delicious smell.

After about half an hour, she checked the trap and there she was. Bella was finally safe inside, having gathered the courage to take a bite of the food.

After getting her checked up at the vet, Hall decided to post her story on social media, hoping that somebody might recognize this sweet girl and take her home.

And, that’s exactly what happened. After her family saw the post, they contacted the Los Angeles rescuer and set up a meeting where they would be reunited with their missing pup.

The second Bella saw her dad, she was unable to hide her joy. Finally, the family was complete again.

Bella’s rescue story is the perfect example of why rescue work sometimes requires more than just quick action.

We may not always get immediate results, but with patience and the willingness to keep trying, we can make a difference.
