In many rescue stories about dogs, a lot of focus is placed on the people who abandon animals and how such cruelty toward animals should be avoided.
While that is a fair criticism, it’s also important to give credit to the people who are working every day to make this world a better place.
Many people will react immediately if they see an animal in need, and I have to say that those people are truly amazing.
A pretty good example of that is in this story, where a worried security guard saw a dog who was tied to a fence on the streets of California, so he immediately called rescuers to help.
A Surprisingly Easy Rescue
After the worried call from a security guard, Suzette Hall immediately responded and prepared to help this concerned pup.
She gathered her gear and rushed to the place where the pup was tied. It came as a shock to learn that she was on the same street where the shelter was.
At this point, Hall realized that the people who abandoned the dog probably knew that the shelter was there. They just didn’t want to spare a few bucks to surrender the pup properly.
It’s highly possible that this pup was also abandoned for that same reason. Her former owner likely knew that she would eventually get rescued by Hall.
Nevertheless, it’s still not okay to do something like this. Who knows what could have happened to this poor pup on the street?
She could have been attacked by another animal, and there was no way for her to defend herself while tied to a fence.
She Finally Feels Safe
When she came to the scene, she learned that this pup was really scared, but she received a lot of food from other people who worked nearby.
That was some good news, at least. She didn’t look malnourished at all, so that was one problem less to deal with for Hall.
When her rescuer finally approached her, she realized just how scared this pup was. She got slowly closer and was then able to get her to calm down a little bit.
After that happened, she was able to get her off that fence and into her arms. The pup was finally rescued, and Hall quickly took her to the shelter in California.
She will now get a new chance. Even though she still appeared a bit uneasy in her presence, there was no doubt that she was grateful about being rescued.
Hall will do her best to make sure that she gets a forever home soon, and she will ensure that her new family treats her the way she always deserved.
