When Remi, a six-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier, finally found her forever family, she was definitely the happiest pup on earth.
After struggling to keep a family, as she was returned to her shelter multiple times, the sigh of relief she let out when the adoption papers were signed was huge.
She was finally able to sleep the nights away, knowing that there was nothing that could hurt her now. So, when her family got her in the car one day, she thought that they were just going on a fun little road trip.
Unfortunately, things weren’t so sweet.
Heartbreaking Realization

As they were driving along a Florida road, Remi realized that the streets seemed to be quite familiar. Before she knew it, she found herself inside of her shelter being returned as her family claimed they were too busy to care for her.
Heartbroken, the pooch retreated into her kennel, hoping that this time, her wait for a new family wouldn’t be long.
Unfortunately, her sad story didn’t end there. After a full health assessment, the Florida shelter staff found non-cancerous masses on her mouth and her back that needed to be surgically removed.

Road To Recovery
Thankfully, the surgery was a success, and sweet Remi made a full recovery in no time.
Something that the shelter staff noticed about this pup was that despite all the hardships that she suffered throughout her life, one thing remained: her adorable tail wag.
No matter what, Remi would wag her little tail, letting everybody know that she still had a big heart, lots of love, and hope!

Remi’s unbreakable love and character truly reminded me how forgiving pups are – no matter what happens to them, they will always choose to see the best in us hoomans, and Remi is no exception.
So, if you are looking for a happy and loving pup who will make sure every single day is full of fun, happiness, and adventure, Remi is the pup for you!
She is an easygoing girl who is made for everything – from a run in the park to a nap on the couch. She is the biggest fan of Kong and rope toys and will do anything for a chicken treat.

If Remi seems like your perfect girl, make sure to head over to the Humane Society of Broward County’s website to book an appointment to meet this irresistible girl.
Final Word
I truly hope that Remi’s days at the shelter will not last as she deserves so much more.
This is also true for all the other animals who enter the shelter all across the county. All they have is love and understanding for us, and we don’t even give them the bare minimum.
So, let us join hands and make this world a better place by finally providing all shelter and homeless animals a warm and loving home.
It will definitely fill both ours and their hearts with unconditional love, and there is nothing better than that!
