Dog With A Disability Is Ecstatic When His Owner From Virginia Fosters A Pup Who Is Just Like Him

Adopting a dog with a disability is definitely one of the most noble things a person can do. A pup who is struggling with a medical problem that he can’t solve is just tragic.

However, what can make all the difference is whether or not they get a chance to live a fulfilling life. A lot of the time, the answer is no.

Most people don’t want to adopt a dog who adds extra expense to their life and that is their choice. However, that doesn’t mean that these dogs are incapable of love.

They are still just as lovable as ever and everyone should consider giving them a chance. It might change your life more than you know.

That’s how it was for Ruhn. Even though he was a three-legged puppy, nothing ever bothered him. He was the happiest pup and he became even happier when his owner did something amazing.

They Are Both The Same

When Ruhn’s mom, Brittany Ketcham, first adopted this beautiful pup, she was shocked by how cheerful and outgoing he was.

She told The Dodo:You would never know he was missing a leg. He doesn’t miss a beat! He’s faster than some of the dogs, and he loves to dig…”

Brittany even notes that she has to explain to other people that he is a three-legged dog because they don’t actually notice it at first.

Because she loves helping dogs, she fosters a lot of them at her house in Virginia. So far, she has helped up to eleven puppies. That’s just amazing.

However, everything changed when Ruhn finally met Tricycle. I know, the name is hilarious, but still… this pup was just like Ruhn.

He was a three-legged dog as well and Ruhn just loved that there was someone out there who was just like her. The two of them bonded almost immediately.

Start Of An Amazing Friendship

Brittany said: “I have taken a step back from fostering because we’re at 12 permanent dogs right now, but when I saw one was a tripod, I told her I’d take him.

In many ways, Ruhn became a mentor to Tricycle. He showed him how to move around the world a bit better and seeing that was just wholesome for Brittany.

Brittany continues by saying: “Ruhn loves other dogs, and I think he was so excited to see a dog walking/hopping like him. He immediately started playing with him and trying to get him to run around.

It’s really heartwarming to see just how much progress Tricycle made under Ruhn’s wing and their friendship is something that is unlike anything I have ever seen.

For Ruhn, having a friend who is like him probably means everything in the world. Even though he is friendly to every other dog he meets, Tricycle is his best buddy.

While we don’t know what happens next in their story, I hope that Tricycle gets to meet a wonderful family near Ruhn, so the two of them can continue their friendship.
