In many abandonment stories, dogs usually deal with neglectful owners who never wanted them in the first place, only to later discard them when it’s most convenient.
Pups end up traumatized and afraid, not knowing who to trust because their favorite person broke their trust and now they have to learn how to live on their own on the cold streets.
This is how a lot of people abandon their dogs, but fortunately, there are a handful of people who do it and at least leave some instructions or a note so that the pup can have a future.
That’s exactly what happened when rescuers found this sweet pup who was abandoned, along with a note from his former owner.
What Was On The Note?
Before Jade was abandoned on the streets of Kansas, she used to be a shelter dog who found a comfortable life after she was adopted.
She thought that her troubles were over and that she would lead a happy life now that she was with her owner, but that was just not the case.
Barely three days had passed since she was adopted, and she was back on the streets again. Her owner dumped her just like that.
Animal Control Officers in the area found her and they were surprised to see that she was also left with a note that read: “Looking for good home to avoid pound.”
So, rescuers from Great Plains SPCA in Kansas decided to take her in and they were shocked by what happened to her.
They thought that she would relax a little now that she was in good hands, but that did not happen. Jade was very stressed out after being moved into a shelter.
Jade Thrived With Foster Parents
She spent months there, and her condition only got worse as time went on, so her rescuers knew that she needed a foster home in order to help her.
They looked for a while and were able to find someone really wonderful. After moving in with her foster parents, Jade changed completely.
They told the rescuers that she was thriving and everything about her was different. It’s like she was a completely different dog.
The shelter staff was relieved to hear that. It was such great news. She was a very playful pup who enjoyed outdoor activities and playing with toys.
She is a well-behaved dog, so she should not have much trouble finding someone special soon enough.
Her foster parents have proved that she is just a great dog to be around, and they are hoping that potential adopters will see Jade as the amazing dog that she is.
In the meantime, she’s still staying with her foster parents and waiting for her opportunity. It might take a while, but her rescuers are committed to finding her special home.
