Seeing how social and extroverted most dogs are never ceases to amaze me. It’s like all of them live to play all day long.
Even when they are tired, they usually stick by their owners or other dogs in case something fun happens, so they don’t miss out. They are so adorable when they do that.
Usually, this is great for our furry companions, but some pups are not so great at being around other dogs. They don’t know how to socialize and behave, and that leads to some problems.
Well, something similar happened to this Golden Retriever who was sent to a daycare with his sibling, and their story is just fascinating.
His Brother Did What?!

Bill and Nelson are two Golden Retrievers from Illinois and they love to spend their time playing, but Bill isn’t exactly as extroverted as Nelson.
He loves being around other pups and people, but his owner noted that he was a submissive dog and usually followed other dogs’ leads.
When the two of them were taken to daycare, the workers noticed that Bill was being harassed by other dogs trying to hump him.
The workers placed Bill in a crate because they believed it was the best solution at that moment. He gets to be around other dogs, but nobody will bother him anymore.

As he was lying in his crate, his brother, Nelson, did something surprising. He got next to his crate and started gently tapping on it.
He tried to release his sibling and also signal the people working there to set him free, but they did not do that.
After he realized that Bill was going to stay in his crate, Nelson offered moral support by staying next to his sibling’s side the whole time. It was really adorable.
The Internet Is Surprised By Bill

After this eventful day at the daycare in Illinois, Bill and Nelson’s owners were told what happened and they received a video where Nelson was trying to free his brother.
They posted this short clip of his rescue attempt on TikTok and people were surprised by it. Many people went into comments to share their reactions.
One person commented: “Omg when I worked at a dog day care I would crate or seperate the humpers not the poor humpees.”
That solution would definitely work if Nelson wasn’t harassed by most dogs there, so crating him for a short period might have been the best option.
Another person said: “Hope you guys realize that as a daycare worker for dogs, we literally can’t do anything about it. It’s not aggressive so we aren’t allowed to do anything. Blame corporate pls.”

Well, luckily, not a single dog was aggressive in Bill’s case and everything went smoothly. He was only in the crate for 20 minutes so he could rest and relax a little bit.
Lastly, somebody commented: “Nelson sad and laying outside of his crate is precious.”
Nelson being sad for his brother for staying in a crate is the best moment for me. Even though he could do nothing for his brother, he stood by him while he was lying in the crate and that is just heartwarming.
Even though it’s possible that this situation could have been handled better, it’s important to remember that Bill was only in the crate for a short while and the situation was not that serious.
The dogs’ owners were happy to see how Bill’s brother reacted to him being placed in the crate and that’s what matters to them.
