What some neglectful owners usually tend to forget is just how much a sheltered life can mean for most dogs. It doesn’t take much.
They just want a warm home, some food, and playtime. That’s all it takes to make them happy. But, not everyone really cares about that.
In fact, I don’t even understand why some people adopt dogs when they clearly have no interest in caring for them.
This usually ends with the neglectful owners abandoning the animal or sending him back to the shelter where the pup ends up suffering because he doesn’t understand why he is on his own again.
It’s cruel and I wish more people thought about it before adopting a dog. Something like this happened to a Husky who was surrendered by her owners because she was ‘too much.’
She Can’t Stop Shaking

Even though she likely lived a normal life before, this sweet Husky could not adapt to the changes that were happening before her.
This was not a life she could live and it was apparent that she needed help quickly or else she was going to have serious problems in the future.
She was scared of everyone and everything. The shelter was a scary place for her and she wanted nothing more than to cower and try to drown out all the noise.

The rescuers who worked at the Stacy Hope Rescue in California knew that she would not be okay if she stayed there for too long, so they started looking for a solution.
They were able to find a volunteer who was willing to take her in. They believed that this was ultimately the best solution for her.
And, it worked. It was incredibly heartwarming to see how quickly the situation turned itself around when she was in her home.
Her Change Was Instant

She also met her foster parents’ dog who was more than happy to welcome her into their home. The two pups loved playing all the time.
It was surprising to see how quickly they became friends. At one point, they even played all night long. The foster parents were surprised to see how they had so much energy.
While all of this was happening, the rescuers were looking for a new home for the Husky, now named June, and they were able to find the perfect family in California.

Shortly after she was adopted, her rescuers knew that she was in good hands. Her new family adored her and she also had two Husky siblings she could play with.
Her life changed so much in such a short amount of time that it’s almost hard to believe. Knowing that she is doing so well in her new home fills me with joy.
June’s story proves how serious it is when owners adopt dogs they can’t care for and then abandon them in the shelter. Luckily, this one had a happy ending.
