In many rescue stories, abandonment is something that a lot of dogs and small puppies have to deal with. Reading through them would make you believe that the world is a horrible place.
I always like to emphasize the fact that even though these things happen because of uncaring owners, there are still a lot of good people who are willing to offer help.
And, this happens all the time – it’s just that it’s really hard to see through all the bad news that we witness on a daily basis.
For example, this Good Samaritan from California noticed something furry next to a dumpster near Taco Bell, only to realize that it was a litter of eight puppies. Right after he identified them, he tried to help.
They Caught A Break

After trying to help the puppies, the Good Samaritan realized that he couldn’t help all eight of them, so he got a kind woman to help him.
She gathered all eight puppies and took them to the Helen Woodward Animal Center in California, where they were all given the necessary help that they desperately needed.
The kind woman initially thought to take them to the veterinarian but then realized that she couldn’t take care of them on her own.

She needed help from the professionals and they agreed to help them all. Because the puppies were so small, the rescuers couldn’t identify their breed.
They were only a day old at most, so it was not a simple task. At first, they thought that the puppies were Terriers, but they would soon learn that the truth was different.
The puppies were actually Pugs and that became pretty apparent after a few weeks. Thanks to the help of these amazing rescuers, the puppies finally got the chance they needed.
They Are Recovering Fast

Their treatment continued and the rescuers noticed that one of the puppies was not doing really well. She had many problems adapting and the rescuers just didn’t know what to do.
They tried their best to help her, but it just wasn’t meant to be. She crossed the rainbow bridge shortly after and the rescuers were devastated by her loss.
Knowing how fragile they were made it more heartbreaking, but the rescuers had no choice but to continue treating the other seven puppies.

By comparison, they were doing a lot better and it looked like they were going to pull through without much trouble.
When that was finally certain, the kind shelter staff decided to give them names, so they chose to go with rainbow colors. The pups were called: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and Violet.
The rescuers are working toward finding them a good family and the seven puppies having a bright future ahead of them.
