Scared Pit Bull Who Was Tied To A Pole In New York Was Trembling With Cold Until Passers-By Stepped In

I can’t imagine the depth of hopelessness and fear that a sweet Pit Bull must have felt after he was tied to a pole and left in frigid temperatures at night.

The pup shivered with cold and struggled to stand on his four paws.
Unfortunately, the neighbors who saw him didn’t do anything to help him.

After standing on a freezing sidewalk for hours, the Pittie felt even more desperate.

Will anyone find compassion in their hearts to offer him a helping hand at the most difficult time of his life?

The Pup Breathes A Sigh Of Relief

Fortunately, kind passers-by came across the abandoned Pittie and rushed to his aid.

Once the dog, later named Lentil, saw them walking toward him, his heart beamed with hope and he started wagging his tail.

While the good humans were untying him, they stroked his head, trying to comfort him. They felt heartbroken to see him shivering.

The Good Samaritans tried to find Lentil’s owner and they shared his photo and story on lost and found pages.

When a rescuer named Sarah Borok learned about Lentil, she felt compelled to help him and she found him a temporary foster home.

Lentil was glad to be in a home and his foster could tell that he was housetrained.

A couple of days later, Sarah picked him up and took him home to foster him.

As soon as Lentil moved in with her, he stole his foster mom’s heart. He was the perfect dog. He was sweet and loved snuggling.

“I immediately fell madly in love with him… He’s so cuddly and just so gentle and very well behaved,” Sarah told The Dodo.

Lentil craved love and wished to be close to his foster mom as much as possible and to absorb her love.

Lentil Is Looking For His Forever Humans

Due to the ordeal he went through, he felt a bit traumatized, and going outside was scary to him at first.

Luckily, thanks to Sarah’s support and love, the Pittie became more confident.

Lentil loved everyone he met. He got along with dogs and was good with cats.

Sarah loved Lentil so much and she wanted to keep him, but unfortunately, Barbara, her cat, didn’t approve of the pup.

The kind-hearted woman worked with Rain Or Shine Rescue, an animal rescue located in New York City, and started searching for the perfect home for Lentil.

The rescue already received many adoption applications for the pup and they are currently reviewing all the applications and choosing a family who will be the best fit for the sweet Pittie.

Lentil can’t wait to meet his forever family and shower them with love.
