A Kid From Pennsylvania Spotted A Mysterious Animal Lying By The Fence, And Called For Help

It was vacation time for these farm owners from Pennsylvania who just wanted to relax and enjoy their time as a family.

During their leisure time, one kid was out in the field when he spotted something unusual lying in the field.

From a distance, it looked like some kind of an animal, but they couldn’t tell just yet, so the woman got closer and was shocked by what she saw.

Rescuers Are On Their Way

After the woman got close, it became pretty clear that there was an eagle lying in the field, so she immediately called Raven Ridge Wildlife Center for help.

The rescuers were unsure about what animal it was because people often confuse hawks and eagles, so they asked the caller to send them a picture.

So, the woman from Pennsylvania sent them a picture and they confirmed that her hunch was right. It was, in fact, a juvenile bald eagle.

Now that they had all the information, they took their gear and went to the family’s house to help them catch the eagle.

Tracie Young, who works for Raven Ridge Wildlife Center, came to help and saw that the bald eagle was not resisting at all. He simply allowed them to take him.

At this point, she suspected that something was wrong because of the eagle’s behavior. Young also saw that the eagle was missing a lot of his feathers.

The Eagle Is Making A Recovery

She quickly took him back to the center where she could help him. They examined him very closely and saw that he was suffering from lead poisoning.

This kind of thing is common if an animal is hit by a car, so now there was an explanation for the eagle’s rough condition.

Luckily for the eagle, his feathers would grow back, and he would need treatment, but his rescuers were there to help him be okay.

Young and the other rescuers developed a good plan for the eagle’s recovery and they immediately implemented it.

The bald eagle was recovering well, and things were going well for him. The rescuers placed him in a flight cage, where he could practice flying.

Since he was in rough condition, he couldn’t just go back to flying, so this was a necessary step to his recovery.

They saw that this majestic eagle had a strong appetite and his treatment was quick. They expect that he will recover in a few months and will be back in the wild again.

Until that happens, the bald eagle will stay with the kind rescuers from Raven Ridge Wildlife Center where he will get the best care in the world.
