It’s pretty common to see stray dogs who are willing to go into someone’s yard and politely ask for food. In fact, it’s the only way they can survive.
They understand that they can’t just go on someone’s property and make themselves at home. This is usually how they get in trouble.
And, this is one of the reasons why a lot of stray dogs just don’t trust other humans because they end up suffering serious injuries because of it.
However, that was not the problem for this stray dog who just happened to be in the neighborhood when a family was serving dinner to their dogs. What he did next was pretty unexpected.
Can He Just Do That?
Heather DeFrancesco and her husband, Rob, were just enjoying their day when they noticed something suspicious.
They realized that their four dogs had a new companion at dinner time. How could this be? And, the funniest part was that he was just helping himself like it was his home.
Where did this new pup come from? Well, the family quickly realized that he was actually a stray dog, but how was he coming into the house?
Well, Heather did a bit of investigating and she came to realize that the pup was coming in through one of the back doors of her home in Alabama.
They usually leave the door open so their cat can come in and eat. She didn’t anticipate something like this happening.
After the whole event, Heather went to check if the dog belonged to anyone. He had no microchip or collar. It’s possible that he was dumped because it was a very rural part of Alabama.
However, the owners had no way to confirm that. Regardless, they saw just how sweet the pup, now named Gimpy, was.
They decided to give him a home that he deserves and it’s absolutely amazing news because he already became great friends with the other pups in the house.
Hilarious Reactions Online
When Heather finally uploaded the clip of Gimpy coming into her house through one of the windows on TikTok, the internet was shocked.
A lot of people rushed to the comments to share their thoughts and many comments were just hilarious.
One person commented: “Well Heather…. In case you’re the last to know, you have another dog.”
I am not clear on that, but it sure seems like she has adopted a new dog without actually knowing it. Gimpy looks like he has lived there forever.
Another person said: “I love the fact that your other dog seemed happy to see him like, cmon in, it’s time to eat bro.”
Well, he is waiting for his new friend. He’s just being nice. It’s wonderful to see how quickly Gimpy made friends in the new home.
Lastly, somebody commented: “When I was a kid we went on vacation and had a pet sitter. One day she came to check on our dogs and they had all the neighborhood dogs in our backyard. It was their project x I guess.”
Well, dogs are social animals and this is certainly the best example of that. Not to mention, Gimpy was a completely new dog in the house and the other dogs accepted him immediately. I am glad to see that he has such a great home now.
