We all know that adopting a pup is a life-changing experience, but sometimes, it takes more to convince others about that.
There are people in this world who love dogs, but just don’t want to adopt them. There could be a lot of reasons for this and it’s important not to judge people for it.
However, I feel like there is nothing more heartwarming than seeing someone who previously didn’t want a dog suddenly adopting one.
This completely changes their life for the better and they suddenly see that their decision to adopt the pup was the right one.
When this family from Kentucky first saw a pup they named Eugene, Marci Wright thought it would be a good idea to feed him every once in a while, not knowing that their life was about to change.
A Huge Surprise For The Family
When the Wright family first saw Eugene, they weren’t quite sure if he was a street dog, but Marci decided to feed him anyway.
Some time went by and no one was showing up to pick him up, so it was a safe bet now that he was a stray pup.
Marci felt really bad for this pup because he had to endure everything on his own, even though she was feeding him all the time.
He would sometimes come to the family and just hang out with them in their yard, so they put some hay and a tarp for him to relax on.
However, this was not a solution at all. January winter would set in and it was really cold outside. There was also a lot of snow and it was not looking good for Eugene.
He was still living on the street, but he needed help. Marci knew that her husband was reluctant to take Eugene into the house, but she couldn’t stand it anymore.
She let him in their house in Kentucky only for the night, but little did they know that everything was about to change for them.
Marci placed some blankets for him on the floor and she put a heater near him, so he wouldn’t be cold. Eugene looked so happy and relaxed. His whole life changed suddenly.
Eugene’s New Life
Just like that, the pup fell asleep in an instant and he enjoyed a really good nap. However, there was another ‘problem’ now.
Marci had to explain to her husband why she took Eugene into the house. Her husband told her that it was just for one night, but we all know that was never the case.
Marci’s husband would end up loving this dog so much that he just couldn’t give him up. He bought a lot of dog food in one day, which was a good sign.
Then, he ordered a bed for him on Amazon. At this point, it was clear that Eugene was there to stay with them.
This completely changed their life and Eugene’s. This pup would not spend all of his time in the house. Considering he was a stray and a very social dog, he loved spending days outside.
In fact, he would spend most of the day playing in the yard and with the neighbor’s dogs only to return when he had to eat and sleep.
Thanks to the Wright family, this pup is now living a comfortable life with people who truly care for him. It’s good to see that he is so happy with them.
