As proud dog owners, we all know that there is nothing our pups love doing more than curling up right next to us and enjoying a good nap.
Next to playing and going for walks, I think this is one of their favorite activities. And, I think it’s safe to say that it’s also one of our favorite activities.
In some cases, dogs love spending so much time with their owners that they don’t like being apart, even when it’s bedtime.
This can be mild or serious separation anxiety, but in most of them, I think it’s safe to say that our pups just really like us.
When this dog owner from Florida let his pup nap in the bed, he didn’t quite realize what was going to happen next, so he did something surprising.
What Is He Doing?
When he realized that his pup, named Fendi, was sleeping in his bed, he thought about waking her up so she could go back to sleep in her own bed.
So, he tried gently waking her up, but that’s when he noticed something odd. She was not moving at all. That’s when the man realized what was going on.
She was faking. She wasn’t sleeping at all. She just wanted to convince her owner that she was, so she kept her eyes closed and pretended to sleep.
Her owner called her a faker multiple times and told her that he knew she was awake. However, nothing would change this pup’s resolve.
Fendi was determined to continue sleeping in her owner’s bed and getting out would take too much effort.
Luckily for the owner, he was able to capture this entire moment on camera and decided to post it on TikTok.
The Internet’s Reaction Is Hilarious
After the clip went live, it exploded in popularity all of a sudden. The video had thousands of comments, with many people sharing their thoughts on Fendi.
One person commented: “That’s clearly someone who just worked a double shift! Let her sleep!”
It sure seems that way. When a pup is this tired, you just know they were doing something really important the entire day.
Another person said: “Me pretending to be asleep in the car so my dad would carry my upstairs to bed.”
I have to admit this was the first thing I thought of when I saw this video. It’s hilarious that other people recognized this same situation.
Lastly, somebody commented: “I feel like she looked like she was fighting a laugh like little kids pretending to sleep.”
I think Fendi knew what she was doing there, and she was not feeling guilty about it at all. She was a mischievous little pup.
In the end, this entire situation was hilarious, and the owners were glad to see that this funny clip got such a response. It’s always wholesome when pups make us laugh with their mischievous behavior.
