Don’t judge a book by its cover, or in Belle’s words – don’t judge a dog by its rough past!
This sweet Husky pup is everything but ordinary. After living on the edge for who knows how long (and where), she has finally found her ideal home with a wonderful family. But, that’s not what makes her so special!
Belle, a tough-looking pup, is something of a bunny whisperer!
She’s so head over heels for these sweet bundles of joy that she even occasionally sneaks into their crate to request cuddle time!
Belle Had A Rough Past
Before she became the bundle of joy to her family, Belle had more than a rough past. She was a street dog, roaming and looking high and low for food to eat and a place to stay.
When she was finally found by Minnesota animal control, she was curled up on the ground. It was then that the people knew she wasn’t just a “dog”. The reason Belle was curled up was that she was keeping a tiny blind dog warm.
That’s right. She was his protector, a caregiver, and the only soul he could rely on.
Even when she was picked up by the animal control and taken to the facility, Belle refused to give up on her friend.
She had a rough-looking appearance and growled at everyone who tried to approach her, which was often mistaken for aggression when really, all she wanted was to be there for her friend.
Ultimately, Belle was rescued by a Minnesota rescue organization and taken to a beautiful foster home with Stephanie Easley and her family. Little did Steph and her folks know that she wouldn’t be just a foster!
During her stay, Belle immediately took to her new hoomans. Even more, she fell head over heels for the bunnies Stephanie was caring for – showcasing her special admiration for tiny critters.
“It was incredible. She’d immediately start kissing the bunnies. She gets so excited when they’re around,” Stephanie Easley told Cuddle Buddies.
Her amazing bond with her tiny furry friends earned her the status of family’s sweetest princess – and soon enough, no one could get enough of her sweet, sneaky adventures!
Could She Love The Bunnies More?
Belle is madly in love with all the bunnies! Something deep inside her makes her a natural nanny – but could she really love them more?
Sometimes, she even manages to sneak into their tiny enclosure just to cuddle with them closely. That’s how she is affected by bunny fever!

Belle is truly one of a kind. Although people largely mistook her for aggressive in the past, she has shown everyone just how genuinely kind and soft she is.
She’s as far from aggressive, violent, and unlovable as she could possibly be. On the contrary, Belle is a lover and a caregiver, and would do anything to protect her little friends.
“Belle has really showed us her good side in ways that are unexpected…and it’s exciting for us because she was the ‘bad girl’ and she was supposed to be the ‘unlovable.’ We got really lucky with her and she’s been worth it a million times over,” her mom added.
Knowing how important she became to the family, Stephanie made the only decision that seemed appropriate – she gave Belle a forever home!
Today, she’s happier than ever, chasing her bunny adventures and appreciating the life she has, far from being ‘unlovable’!
