Rescuers Saved 23 Dogs, Including Tiny Puppies, From Horrible Conditions Of Trailer Home

Although the celebrations of Christmas and New Year’s are, in general, the most wonderful time of the year, for some people as well as animals, they can be the most dreadful ones.

It is during this period that the rescuers have their hands full because they constantly receive calls about dogs and other animals that need help.

It was the same this year as the Tennessee rescuers had three deployments in the last days of the year. These people hoped that they would be lucky enough to celebrate New Year’s Eve in peace, but that did not happen.

They had to go on a rescue mission of numerous dogs that were found in a trailer home.

Heartbreaking Conditions

As soon as the Animal Rescue Corps (ARC) received a call from a concerned citizen about neglected dogs in a trailer home in Crossville, Tennessee, these big-hearted rescuers rushed to that place.

When they finally got there, they were shocked by the conditions of the interior of the trailer home.

According to ARC’s Facebook post, their responders found 23 small mix-breed dogs who were “running loose on urine-soaked, feces-covered floors and broken furniture with make-shift fencing inside the trailer.”

The most heartbreaking thing was that seven of them were young puppies who were only five weeks old. They were all in a very bad state.

“Because of the lack of veterinary care and the unsanitary, inhumane living conditions, the dogs were suffering from internal and external parasites (such as fleas and ticks) and high ammonia exposure,” ARC stated.

Unfortunately, this dreadful situation resulted from the “neglectful breeding of unaltered dogs in a confined space.”

Brighter Future Ahead Of Them

Although they were quite shocked and heartbroken, these rescuers were able to pull themselves together and soon went into action in order to save these poor furry things.

Many big-hearted rescuers took part in the rescue operation of the dogs from the trailer home and were ultimately successful.

Immediately after that, they transported the dogs from the property to ARC Rescue Center in Gallatin, Tennessee, about 40 minutes east of Nashville.

“Each animal will receive a thorough veterinary exam, appropriate vaccinations, and any necessary medical treatments until they are matched and transported to trusted shelter and rescue partner organizations that will ultimately adopt them into loving homes.” ARC wrote in the post.

All the dogs, including the little puppies, are recovering from the horrible conditions they were in and that is the most important thing right now as well as the reason for the rescuers and other good people to smile.
“The new year will be a fresh start for these dogs and pups” said Amy Haverstick, ARC’s Director of Operations. “Their future is much brighter and I’m happy we were able to assist them.”
