Texas Puppy Who Couldn’t Lift His Head Because Of Sickness Is Now Absolutely Thriving Thanks To This One Thing

Furby, a one-month-old Goldendoodle puppy, had a hard time growing up.

Instead of spending his first month on this earth running around and having fun, Furby suffered several medical issues that left him quite weak and sad.

Despite these hardships, he refused to give up. He fought even through the days when it seemed that he wouldn’t make it, showing everybody that he would do anything to get his perfect life.

That is why the incredible staff members at Austin Pets Alive! (APA!) made sure to provide him with everything he needed to get exactly that.

The Cutest Fighter Ever

The staff at the Austin shelter found out that this sweet boy was the runt of the litter. The rest of his furry siblings showed no signs of any illness whatsoever.

One of the medical issues Furby was facing regarded his nerves, disabling him from walking or even sitting up on his own. Nevertheless, Furby kept gathering all of his strength and kept trying, showing the staff members that he wasn’t giving up.

“While his exact history is unknown, the demand for designer breeds like goldendoodles too often leads to puppies bred for profit rather than health, increasing the likelihood of medical complications and shelter surrenders,” Luis Sanchez, director of public relations and communications at APA! told The Dodo.

The Next Big Step

After countless medical assessments and tests, Furby was finally healthy enough to go to a foster home. And, what happened next shocked everyone!

Furby began to thrive!

Being around so many incredible and loving foster siblings and hoomans, this sweet boy became unrecognizable.

In the blink of an eye, he began running, playing, and finally living the life the furry baby deserved all along.

A puppy who was once so sick that he could barely lift his little head is now living the best life ever. And, you can only imagine how happy this made all the hoomans that took care of him.

“He is playing with his foster siblings and learning what love is,” Sanchez said.

Furby almost didn’t make it, but luckily, he found his way to the best people ever. A big thank you to everybody at the Austin shelter as well as his foster parents for recognizing his potential and giving him a second chance.

He still has a long way to go, but I am sure that when the time is right, he will find his way to the perfect forever home.

Good luck, Furby.

Final Word

Breeding dogs irresponsibly can lead to serious problems for our furry friends.

When breeders prioritize profit over the health and well-being of the dogs, it often results in puppies with genetic health issues, behavioral problems, or poor socialization

Designer breeds, such as Goldendoodles are especially vulnerable to this because of their high demand. This kind of breeding can also contribute to overpopulation, as unhealthy or difficult-to-handle dogs are more likely to be surrendered to shelters.

So please have this in mind before becoming a dog owner – support ethical breeders or consider adoption to make a responsible and compassionate choice.
