That is why wherever something happens to them, we will do whatever it takes to ensure they are happy and healthy again. That is exactly what one owner did after noticing that his pup was unable to stand on his paw.
Vet Rush
When a loving owner saw that his adorable Dachshund, Otis, wasn’t walking properly, they immediately knew something wasn’t right.
Without wasting any moments, the owner grabbed his furry friend and rushed him over to the vet’s office where he was given a thorough medical evaluation that, as you may know, is not cheap.
After getting the test results back and paying a $125 bill, the owner found out that the only issue with Otis was that he lacked some attention.
There was nothing wrong with Otis or his paw… he only missed being at the center stage of his family’s lives.
The Pups Keep On Doing It
After posting the little act their pup played on them on TikTok, many users couldn’t help but share their own similar experiences.
“Our lil girl did this but forgot which paw was the hurt one and that’s when we realized we were getting played. She quit after we stopped babying her when we found out,” said one dog owner.
“My dog cut her paw on a walk and whenever we try to put her lead on (a month later) the limp returns. In the wrong paw,” stated another.
“My dog did this the first time my mum and dad went away and we looked after him, he kept screaming the house down in pain, they had to come home early and as soon as they got home he did zoomies,” another commentator pointed out.
Another one shared that: “My dog limps when he knows my mum is leaving for a few days (he stays at home with us) but he has to limp so mum feels sorry for him and stays. Soon as she leaves he makes a magical recovery.”
“My JR limped into my neighbours house who then fussed over her. She asked me what’s wrong with her foot, my answer was nothing, she’s just had a nail trim! My neighbour’s face – priceless!” related another commentator.
And, one commentator said something we are all thinking: “These dogs should have their own amateur dramatic group. Mine is exactly the same.”
Nevertheless, I think every dog can learn a valuable lesson from all of these funny, fake injuries. Next time your dog comes over with a paw that hurts, think about all the reasons why they could be faking it.
Maybe it will save you a couple of bucks in your pocket. But remember… sometimes it is better to take them to the vet than to regret it afterward!
