Something that really grinds my gears is dog owners who don’t love and respect their pups the way they should.
They seem to forget that animals have emotions, too, and treating them differently can cause them a lot of psychological pain.
Not only can they become sad, depressed, and even aggressive, but this can also make it harder for other hoomans.
Since the mistreated pups no longer trust their two-legged friends, their rescuers need to try extra hard in order to prove to them that they are worthy of love and affection.
You Are Safe Now
After an owner arrived at a local shelter with their pup, the shelter staff kindly greeted them. However, after they found out why they came, they were left completely heartbroken.
The owner stated that the pup constantly misbehaved and that because of this, he ended up being hurt. When assessing his wound, the rescuers came to the conclusion that the pup’s wound had to be caused by abuse.
Knowing that they had to take the pup, now named Enzo, out of this horrific home, the staff took him into their loving shelter and immediately rushed him over to the medical clinic.
Unfortunately, after his medical assessment, his wound was so bad that it left the vets no other option but to amputate his leg.
The shelter staff had no idea whether to be sad or angry, but they knew that there was no point in that anymore. All that mattered now was that Enzo was in good hands.
Brave Little Pup
The surgery was a success and Enzo’s road to recovery was long. Luckily, he was taken in by a loving family which made sure that he had everything he could ever need.
At first, Enzo needed some time to get used to having three legs, but with all the love and encouragement he received from his new family, he got the hang of it pretty quickly.
The fact that his family were dedicated fosters helped Enzo a lot. He was constantly surrounded by incredible furry friends who made him feel like the happiest pup in the whole wide world.
Unfortunately, his happily ever after didn’t arrive yet. One morning, his owner noticed that he threw up so he rushed him to the vet.
The doctor conducted some tests and they concluded that Enzo had enteritis, inflammation of the small intestine, and needed to begin treatment right away.
But, being the brave little pup that he was, it took him two short days to show signs of improvement. A couple of days later, Enzo was feeling as good as new and was able to go back home.
New Life
Fast forward to today and this boy is living the best life ever.
He is spending his days having the best playdates, eating the yummiest food, and taking the coziest naps ever.
And, all this is thanks to incredible hoomans who refused to give up on him.
That is why I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that you must show kindness and love toward all animals.
All they want to do is make this world a happier, better place for everybody and we must remember to appreciate them.
I really don’t know what we would do without them!
