Christmas is undoubtedly the happiest holiday ever.
Homes across the country come alive with festive charm and are adorned with delightful decorations and filled with the smell of the most delicious food. It’s a season made even more special by the joy of spending quality time with the people who matter most – your family.
Unfortunately, not everybody gets to have these special moments. Some are forced to spend them confined to a kennel inside of an animal rescue center.
All Alone
Zorro, an adorable six-year-old pup, has spent most of his time in the kennels of the Humane Society in Naples Florida. And, as much as they take care of him every day, all that Zorro wants is to be in a home of his own.
Especially during the holiday season.
“While we don’t have much information about his past, we’ve learned so much about him during his time here,” Naples Humane Society staff member, Patrizia Vila, said in an interview.
Knowing that he is about to spend his fourth Christmas all alone in the shelter, the Naples rescuers are doing everything they can to find the perfect family just for him.
This also includes posting a video on their TikTok page, urging their followers to help this boy, too.
Apart from showing him being heartbroken in his kennel, the video also depicts Zorro’s happy side. From listening to commands to chasing a ball to even catching treats in his mouth, Zorro can truly do anything.
“Zorro is incredibly smart and has learned a variety of commands, including sit, down, wait, stay, come, focus, paw, high five, place, and drop,” she added.
Looking For A Home To Call My Own
Being so adorable, Zorro’s video managed to attract thousands of viewers from around the world who were absolutely head over heels for him.
“Please! Way too long for Zorro to be alone for the holidays. He looks like a 100% purebred good boy,” wrote one commentator.
“2021?? He’s such a handsome boy! I wish I could have a dog in my apt… I truly hope this sweet boy gets his Christmas miracle!!!” stated another.
Luckily, all of this positive traction resulted in many potential adopters sending inquiries about the sweet boy.
“Our adoption coordinator has been thrilled to receive so many inquiries about Zorro and is currently reviewing them. We’re so hopeful that his perfect match is out there,” she stated.
As kind and adorable as he is, his new home needs to have only adults in it. Because he spent so many years all alone, he will need a short adjustment period to get comfortable with his new surroundings.

“Our hope is to find Zorro his perfect match before Christmas—we know they’re out there!” she concluded.
And even if his Christmas wish didn’t really come true, I’m sure he will be absolutely delighted to get a forever family at any time of the year!
