Just like people, dogs have their favorite moments that they love to spend with their furry friends. They treasure these precious times and dislike anything that might spoil them.
Among their favorite activities are playdates, during which owners step aside and let their dogs enjoy the special time together.
Unfortunately, unforeseen situations can sometimes disrupt a dog’s plans—and people or some external forces don’t always cause these disruptions.
This was perfectly illustrated by a Labrador who eagerly waited for his furry neighbor to come over for a playdate. However, what the other dog did left him feeling disappointed.
Playdate In His Dreams
In a video shared on November 30 by TikTok user, @syd_and_the_kids, Baine, a lovable Labrador, was seen lounging on the couch with his head resting on the armrest. His expression said it all—disappointment.
He had high hopes for an action-packed day when his neighbor, Brody, dropped by. But, instead of endless playtime, Brody had other plans: playdate in his dreams. The video then panned to Brody sprawled out on another couch as if he owned the place.
Fast asleep, Brody seemed oblivious to Baine’s eagerness. It was as if Brody needed to recharge before bringing his A-game.
Despite the unexpected turn of events, Baine didn’t seem too upset. He waited patiently, his tail wagging ever so slightly in anticipation. You could almost see the thoughts circling in his mind: “There’s playing to be done! Why waste time?”
Even though this wasn’t the playdate Baine envisioned, it certainly wouldn’t be the last time Brody visited. This area where Baine and Brody live is somewhat remote, meaning that they freely visit each other all the time.
That’s probably why Brody felt right at home when he came to Baine’s house. In general, it is not uncommon for him to stroll in, help himself to a treat, and head back home—or, as in this case, take a nap before heading out again.

Baine’s owner has several dogs and regularly films them and posts the videos on TikTok. Some of them had millions of views and this one also did well.

“I can relate my best freind we don’t get together much but when we do I always end up passing out with my head on his moms lap 😂😂,” another joked.
And, the third quipped: “Oh,no! I hope he had a good nap and then you had the deserved playtime 💞.”
To this user’s delight, but especially Baine’s, the two dogs spent some time playing together in a backyard. However, they only played for a few minutes before Brody got tired and went to sleep again, this time in his house.
