Anxious Pittie Abandoned Outside The Shelter Was Adopted And Returned Again, But Still Won’t Give Up

Don’t ever lose hope. Even when times get tough and you don’t see the light at the end of the tunnel – the only thing that will get you through is clinging to the hope that a better tomorrow will come.

This is the motto Bando has been living by over the past few months.

After being cruelly tied up outside the shelter and left for good by his family, Bando’s life has been nothing but a struggle. But even then, he chose not to give up!

Bando’s Past Was Not Easy

Heidi, a volunteer at ACCT Philly in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, fell head over heels for Bando right off the bat. Despite being abandoned, this sweet Pittie mix had the biggest smile on his face and got along with absolutely everyone at the shelter.

“From the moment I saw his smile and his energy I knew that he was a special guy. Everybody that’s met Bando is really, really in love with him,” Heidi told Cuddle Buddies.

For some reason, Bando lost his home, yet he never stopped hoping that things would eventually work out fine.

The Pennsylvania shelter decided to act immediately. They set Bando up with a nice foster home, eagerly awaiting the day he would become a foster fail or at least receive a life-changing application!

Sadly, that did not happen. Instead of finding a forever home, Bando was returned to the shelter once again by his foster parents and had to start all over.

This time, however, things were a bit more complicated.

The kennel life took a toll on Bando and he ultimately became anxious. This definitely wasn’t the life meant for him, and his caregivers knew it. Instead of being the happy-go-lucky dog he once was, Bando now coped with severe anxiety and stress.

That’s why the shelter decided to go the extra mile and sign their favorite boy up for boarding and training at Muddy & Co.

As it turned out, this was an amazing solution for Bando!

Still Clings To Hope That The Right Family Will Come

Jeff, the founder of a board-and-train business, embraced Bando with an open heart, and the dog reciprocated. In just a few short weeks, Bando started to pick up good manners and learn all about having a family.

He rediscovered the joys of life and began to socialize with other dogs. In no time, Bando revealed his true colors and proved once again what a genuinely great companion he was.

However, by the time his training was complete, there were still no applications for him. And that’s when Jeff decided to step up for Bando once more.

Afraid that sending Bando back to the shelter might interfere with the progress he was making, Jeff decided to foster him indefinitely. For now, this sweet Pittie will stay with his foster dad, awaiting his ideal family and perfecting his manners.

Today, Bando no longer gets upset. He shares toys, plays with other canines, and loves meeting new people. With all that at his disposal, there’s no doubt that he will make a wonderful addition to a family one day.

“I stay really positive knowing that he’s gonna find a family that is ready for him to fit in and have a great life after he leaves me,” says Jeff.

Good luck, Bando. You deserve the best!
