The Once-Aggressive Dog Became A Love Bag After The Birth Of His Baby Sister

The Once-Aggressive Dog Became A Love Bag After The Birth Of His Baby Sister

Dogs can sometimes be mischievous and even aggressive, doing inappropriate things that make people judge them.

However, it has been shown so many times that our furry friends deep inside have a truly good soul that it is no longer a question.

The key to getting there is to give them a chance and be patient with them until they show their true colors.

Luckily, one couple realized this in time. They did not give up on their best furry friend who exhibited aggressive behavior, and everything culminated when their sweet little daughter was born.

Dog Full Of Fear And Mistrust

Arielle and Alex fell in love with their dog, Jay, the first day they met him. Yet, his fearfulness and aggressive behavior were a big problem.

“Whenever he felt threatened, he would start to get aggressive. He nipped at us. He would always pull at my clothes.” Arielle said in her interview for The Dodo

She also stated that Jay was afraid of water, making this situation even more complicated. Because of this, he even wanted to bite them when they forced him to bathe, so the only solution to avoid injury was to put him in a muzzle

Despite all the difficulties, these people did not want to give up on Jay because they loved him so much. However, when Arielle found out that she was pregnant, they were forced to make a big decision.

“This is the last chance with this dog,” Alex said. “We’re having a baby and if don’t fix this situation, we’re gonna have to find him a new home.”

It was all or nothing for Jay when his parents sent him with his trainer to Miami, Florida.

From Aggression To Affection

After Arielle and Alex had a long conversation with the trainer, they agreed to send Jay to a summer camp in Miami, Florida. Jay was there for six weeks, and after he returned, he was a completely different dog.

The first thing Jay’s parents noticed when he came back was that he was no longer scared of water, but actually enjoyed swimming in the pool.

To their delight, that was not all because he managed to overcome his many other fears as well.

“He overcame a lot of his fears. When he was afraid, that’s when he would get aggressive.” Arielle said, emphasizing that wasn’t the case anymore. “You can tell he just feels so much more comfortable.”

Although his transformation was truly incredible, nothing can compare to what Jay turned into when their daughter, Romi, was born

His new baby sister brought out the best in him, and his delighted parents had never seen him like this before.

“Jay loves Romi. He loves to bring her his toys and have her throw the ball. And he loves when she takes him on a walk.” Arielle stated at the end, adding that he had never been so happy before.

From a fearful and aggressive dog, Jay transformed into a love bag after his parents gave him a new chance and after he felt what true love really meant.
