She has a beautiful home in New York and a mom who loves her to the core, but recently her obsession with humans has only grown – all thanks to her amazing mailman, Jason!
She Can’t Wait For It
It all started one day when Jason was delivering the daily mail to Piper’s mom, Danielle Perelman, in New York. While he was dropping the mail through the slot, Piper seized the opportunity and sneaked beneath it for a cuddle.
Ever since that day, Jason’s daily pats with Piper have become a ritual.
Before he arrives at the door, Piper patiently waits next to the slot for Jasons’ “magic hands” to appear. After delivering the mail, he gently offers Piper her daily treat, then slips his hands through the slot and gives her the most adorable cuddle ever.
In those few moments, Piper is absolutely smitten. She has this big, cute smile on her face as she clings to the door as tightly as possible, enjoying Jason’s touch.
But, whenever Jason has a day off and doesn’t visit, Piper immediately switches into depressive mode.
“Every morning the mailman comes to say hi to our pup. It’s her favorite time of the whole day. And she gets depressed whenever he doesn’t come. Thank goodness for mailmen like Jason,” the video description says.
Piper Doesn’t Ask Questions
The videos Danielle posted on TikTok sparked quite a debate among users, who keep asking questions about Piper and Jason’s history.
Although this ritual has been going on for a while, it still remains unclear if the two have ever met in person. Yet Piper seems perfectly fine with it! As long as her scratchies keep coming, she won’t be asking any questions.
The comments, as you can guess, range from adorable all the way to hilarious!
“The door will produce hands to scratch me every morning. I don’t know how it works, but I don’t question it,” one commenter wrote.
“Mother. The door hands are here,” another added.
One thing is for sure, though. Everyone witnessing Piper and Jason’s sweet relationship through the slot is absolutely overcome with cuteness.
There’s just something about dogs and their favorite mailmen that warms even the coldest of hearts, and this relationship right here is no exception.
I’m absolutely positive that Piper will receive tons of scratchies from Jason in the future. She’ll keep waiting by the door for his magic pair of hands to show up, probably with the same level of enthusiasm she has now.
