A person simply cannot understand how much joy it is to have a dog as a member of their family until they experience it.
It is not said for nothing that a dog is man’s best friend because he is there in both happy and difficult situations. No matter what, he will give you all his love and stay loyal to you for the rest of his life.
One owner named Kirsty knows this best whose family have long been in love with these amazing furry creatures. In almost every moment of their lives, at least one dog has lived in their home.
Only for a short period of time was this not the case, and that’s when they truly realized how empty their house really is when there are no dogs in it.
However, that changed quickly, and then came indescribable happiness, both for Kirsty and her three children.
He Brought Joy Back Into The House
Kirsty and her family had as many as four dogs that brought them great happiness and joy every day. Even though there were so many of them, it was never cramped in their house.
Unfortunately, all four dogs crossed the rainbow bridge in a very short time and left behind a big void. That one short period when no barking was heard in the house was the most empty in the lives of these people.
Kirsty soon decided to change that because she knew it was not natural for her house to be without a dog. That’s when a cute Corgi puppy became a full member of their family and they named him Benjamin.
It was still something new for all of them because they had never had a puppy before. However, this did not prevent them from falling in love with him immediately, especially Kirsty’s three children, Harry, Charlie, and Holly. And he reciprocated in kind.
“He was just in love straightaway, he was all over them,” Kirsty said in her interview for Cuddle Buddies, adding: “In the morning, he comes with me to wake them all up separately. He will make sure they’re all up, jump on their beds, give them a lick on the face, and check they are up and ready to go.”
Then he would wait impatiently all day for them to return home, and when they did, there would be joy all over the house. Since he’s lived with them, it’s been like that every day.
A Chaotic But Happy Life
As soon as the children came home and Benji saw them, there would be total chaos because none of them would be able to control their joy. In short, games without limits would begin.
“They love to play football with him, they love to have a bath with him, which can get a bit crazy and a bit wet. He just wants to be with them at any given moment,” Kirsty happily concluded.
It is obvious that Benji is a perfect dog for this family and that he is a godsend for the terrible loss of their four previous family dogs. Kirsty herself is becoming aware of this as well and she is over the moon because of it.
“I just can’t believe that he’s just been so good with them and they’ve loved him as much as he loves them,” she said. “And I feel like now that they’ve had him, he will be something that they will remember for the rest of their lives.”
This is just another heartwarming story that testifies to how an ordinary yet special dog completely changed the lives of so many and brought them happiness and joy.
