I don’t think I have seen anything quite as shocking as this mama dog who was just severely malnourished, struggling to feed her babies.
She was in absolutely horrible condition and she could just no longer do anything to help her puppies. They had no food or any kind of shelter.
The only hope the family really had of making it through this was that someone would see them and offer help.
However, things would soon change for them when a kind woman saw this and immediately called a rescuer for help.
A Struggling Family
When the rescuer finally arrived at the location, she saw a shocking display. The mama dog moved away from her two puppies because she could no longer feed them.
They were desperate for nourishment, but there was nothing to give. One of the puppies looked to be sick and needed help immediately.
The mama dog started wagging her tail when she saw her rescuers. She saw hope for the first time in her life and she wanted to keep going.
While they were there, they also saw one chubby female dog who was also nearby, and they realized that she had some health problems as well.
Now that they had all of them in one place, they carefully guided them inside the vehicle and took them to the veterinarian clinic.
They immediately examined all of them and started treatment. The smallest puppy needed the most help as his health was deteriorating by the minute.
He was fed through a syringe and he looked like he was in a lot of pain. The whole time, his veterinarians were doing their best to help him, but it just wasn’t working.
This puppy crossed the rainbow bridge a few hours later. Everyone was completely devastated by this loss. However, they had to continue for the rest of the family.
A Bright Future For The Dogs
Over the next few days, the mama dog, now named Kate, was recovering well as she was eating a lot and the treatment was working.
She was able to nurse her baby now and that was a good sign. Because there was a flu problem, the rescuers felt the need to separate the mama dog and her baby just for a while.
They took the puppy, now called Bean, to their home where they would do their best to take care of all his needs.
Even though he was also still really small, his rescuers made sure that he was on a good diet that would help him grow and recover fast.
After about 2 months of consistent care and love, Bean and Kate both made an amazing recovery and now look really great.
Kate was adopted shortly after her recovery and is now living with her amazing new mom who decided to give her a new life.
Even though Bean has made an impressive recovery and looks just adorable now, we don’t really know what happened to him or the other female dog they saved.
Although, I am pretty confident that Bean too has found someone special by now and is just enjoying himself all the time.
Even though this family has suffered greatly in the past, I am so amazed to see the progress they have made in their recovery. Their incredible resolve to keep going is just inspiring. I am so happy to see they are doing great.
