Just like hoomans, pups need a nice spa day every once in a while, too.

As their fur grows, taking them to the groomer isn’t just about making them look extra cute… they also need a good trim to prevent their fur from becoming matted.

Unfortunately, some doggo owners tend to forget about this, allowing their beloved fur babies to end up in some hairy situations – literally!

One hooman who couldn’t care for his two pups anymore let things get out of hand, and soon, his poor doggos were more like walking furballs covered in giant, tangled mats!

Help Is On The Way

When a Houston rescuer by the name of Laura found out about their situation, she knew she had to do something to help.

“An elderly man had two dogs that he could no longer keep. I knew I had to take them home. I couldn’t leave them there anymore,” Laura told The Dodo.

Not only were the pups completely covered in mats, but they were also really muddy. So, Laura decided to take them home and try to bond with them for a bit.

The hooman decided to let the pups roam around her garage for a bit so that they could understand what was going on first. Then, she slowly approached one pup and began petting him on the head.

“I was able to touch Chuy enough to uncover his face. It was really sad. I cried there because I’m like, ‘Baby, you are so beautiful. I know you are so beautiful under there. It’s just this mess. It’s going to be okay’,” she added.

Incredible Transformation

Luckily, one of Laura’s rescuer friends was also a groomer who was more than happy to come to her place and give the pups a much-needed haircut.

After two hours of working, the pups were finally ready to begin their new lives.

The pups, now named Noel and Chuy, were over the moon with the fact that they were finally able to freely move and run around. They were no longer restricted by dirty, painful mats!

Since Laura had her very own pool, and all her other pups adored it, she decided to introduce these two pups to it as well.

And, it came as no surprise that Noel and Chuy loved it!

This definitely helped the duo to get in touch with their puppy side, making them the happiest they have ever been.

Because of this, a loving family noticed them and decided to take both of them in. This made Laura super happy since she knew just how bonded the pups were.

“These two dogs, they were bonded and they found the best family, and they are living the best life. Chuy and Noel came from such a bad situation, and their transformation is amazing,” Laura concluded.
