Every time I think that I have seen every possible friendship combination between a dog and other animals, I always get proven wrong.
From raccoons, cats, and even rats, we have been proved over and over again that dogs aren’t just man’s best friend, they are everyone’s best friend!
However, in today’s story, an adorable crow didn’t see a stunning German Shepherd just as a best friend, he saw something much more than that – a mom.
A Little Rescue Mission
As a woman named Romina was driving down the road with her boyfriend, she noticed what she thought was a coffee cup rolling around the road.
But, as they got closer, they noticed that it was actually a bird!
When they got out of the car to investigate what it was doing in the middle of the road, they noticed that the crow actually had a broken foot. The couple decided to wait and see if his parents would come back for him, but after some time, they knew this poor guy was all on his own.
That is why they decided to bring him home and take care of him.
“I had some water in a water bottle so I got the cap and I just put some water in his mouth. He took the water and fell asleep on my chest for the ride home,” Romina told Geobeats.
Naming him Fledgelings, the couple knew that they got themselves a new, adorable pet!
An Adorable Friendship
Fledgelings is quite a hungry guy who demands to be fed every 20 minutes. Since Romina works as a cleaning lady, she knew she would have to bring him along to her job in order to keep his belly nice and full.
“Thankfully, my clients are wonderful people and I just called them and said, ‘Listen, I have this little baby bird, I have to feed him every 20 minutes. I can come or I can’t come.’ So everybody was like, bring him, and every 20 minutes I would say ‘Sorry, I have to feed the bird’,” she added.
Frankie has gotten so used to this princess treatment that every time he sees Romania, he flaps his wings and opens up his mouth. He even started doing it to Summer, Romania’s adorable pup.
At first, Summer wasn’t really sure what to think of Frankie.
She would get confused when he would open his mouth, and would even get freaked out when he would land on his back.
Luckily, as time went by, Summer warmed up to him and became best friends.
“Summer, she just loves him like it’s her own little baby. She noticed he had a feather out and she was trying to fix it,” Romina stated.
Since he is a bird, Frankie did have to move out into nature so that he could live his best life. However, he couldn’t just leave his family behind so he kept really close.
“As soon as I open the front and back door to clean, he’s in the house right away. He gives me this look of love that just melts me. It’s so beautiful. He’s just a joy and we’re so thankful that he’s in our lives but we’re hoping that he’ll fly away and bring back a family one day,” she concluded.
I don’t know about you, but whenever I see an animal who can’t stay away from their hoomans, I can’t help but cry.
This adorable crow not only saw Romania as her mom but he also made her fur baby, Summer, his best friend/co-mom.
I don’t think it can get sweeter than that!
