In the vast sea of animal cruelty cases, overbreeding might be one of the worst.
Kept in tiny kennels and never seeing the light of day, the dogs used for this cruel mass production are, without any doubt, the true victims.
And, Frankie was definitely one of them!
Found under a bush after the breeder had no further use for her, this tiny, strange-looking Bully girl was completely lost.
What Is Her Breed?
When a kind woman stumbled upon Frankie lying under a bush, she was shocked to the core. This teeny-tiny girl was abandoned at no fault of her own after being kept at a local breeder’s home.
After the woman stated that she couldn’t keep her, Erica, a rescuer from Scottsdale, Arizona, and her family stepped in!
“She had been found under a bush. The woman brought her into her house but didn’t want to keep her permanently,” Erica told GeoBeats Animals.
They took Frankie on a foster basis, intending to do everything to make her adoptable for the future family.
They knew there was a good reason Frankie was abandoned. And, after the first vet exam – they were completely right!
As a result of overbreeding, Frankie came with a short nose, her intestines were thick, she had bad teeth, and her ears were cropped. All this made her life so difficult that she couldn’t live a normal doggo life.
Just because someone wanted Frankie to look like a mini-version of a Bully, she was now coping with multiple issues.
Due to her intestine problems, she was always so hungry, but the food wasn’t getting absorbed into her body. On top of that, her nose disabled her from breathing properly.
Still, Erica was inclined to give Frankie a fighting chance. With proper care and lots of love, the family did everything to make her feel at home. But first, they decided to DNA test her – and boi were they shocked by the results!
“We did her DNA test. She had 44 relatives that were half relatives. That means there’s a big ring somewhere and she just was a reject,” says Erica.
Sleeping Beauty, Or Is She?
Today, Frankie has the perfect little life, all thanks to her family’s endless efforts to accept her the way she is. As a big thank you – she reciprocated in the most wonderful way possible.
Frankie became the integral part of the family and let her inner-cute psycho personality kick in!
She literally goes from sleepy to energetic within seconds. She loves to play, cuddle, play fight with other dogs, and sleep in the weirdest positions ever!
You can find her piled up on top of other dogs, on the couch, or simply hanging from the bed – she does it all!
Frankie’s one-of-a-kind personality truly took her family by surprise.
That’s why it didn’t take long for them, especially her dad, to fall madly in love with her. Despite the original plan, they all agreed on one thing – that she’s a keeper!
Today, Frankie enjoys her new Arizona home and loves her housemates unconditionally.
Every day is a brand-new adventure for her and her doggo siblings. She explores, goes on walkies, runs, and does zoomies all over the place. But, most of all, she loves cuddles, showers of love, and staying loyal!
Once an overbred pup that didn’t stand a chance in this world, Frankie now has everything she ever wanted.
