Dog Saved From Euthanasia At The Last Minute Can’t Hide Happiness After Being Adopted

All shelter pups hope to leave their tiny kennels for good and find humans who will love them unconditionally.

Beau longed to achieve his dream of finding a great family after he was rescued from the streets and taken to Maricopa County Animal Care & Control in Mesa, Arizona.

Upon his arrival at the shelter, the eight-year-old doggo became overwhelmed with the loud shelter noise. He often hid in the corner of his kennel, trembling with fear.

Beau desperately needed someone to take him home, but sadly, nobody gave him a chance. The delightful pooch was overlooked for months.

Beau’s Last Chance

Whenever the staff took him for a walk, Beau’s face lit up. He enjoyed spending time outdoors.

The shelter considered Beau a medical liability because of his age and the growth he had on his leg. Sadly, they placed him on the euthanasia list.

Beau only had 24 hours before he was put down.

Luckily, a kind volunteer named Julia, at Desert Dog Project, a non-profit organization that helps Arizona dogs in need of medical care, posted Beau’s story on social media.

When a good woman and dog owner read Beau’s story and learned that he was facing euthanasia, she was deeply sad.

The sweet pup captivated her heart, and she knew that she had to fight for him.

“This dog who looked so loving, deserved to live and I just had to ask my family if they could help me make it work. We were his last hope,” she told GeoBeats Animals.

The kind-hearted human reached out to the Desert Dog Project and promised to give the sweet boi a home.

One of the volunteers came to pick up Beau. The delightful pup stepped out of the shelter, unaware that his new life was about to begin.

Thanks to the amazing volunteers, Beau was transported to Fresno, where his new family picked him up and took him to Washington.

The Sweet Taste Of Freedom

On Beau’s first night in Washington, his family decided to run with him around the block.

The moment the pup started running, he realized that he was safe and free. His tail wagged with excitement.

Beau’s family enjoyed watching him celebrate his freedom.

Although they were initially anxious about Beau’s adjustment to his new life, the canine’s forever family soon realized they had nothing to worry about.

They introduced him to his five doggy siblings, and the pooch proved to be respectful.

“Throughout the whole process, he was extremely respectful, submissive in the process. He knew how to read the other dogs and fit in appropriately into the whole pack,” she added.

As Beau spent more time with his family, he displayed layers of his personality. His humans fell in love with his goofy and funny side.

The wonderful pup was hungry for love. Whenever his family would stop stroking him, he would start pawing at them, asking for more love.

Thanks to the good humans who fought for him, Beau lives his best life with his forever family.

He sometimes posts updates about his everyday life on his Instagram account. He loves cuddling with his family and hanging out with his pack.

The canine is over the moon because he found the amazing family his heart wished for.
