When a rescuer heard strange cries coming from a street, they immediately realized that it was an animal in need of help.
After spending some time looking around, they found two puppy siblings, Pataco and Patacona, holding each other tightly, hoping that somebody would find them and offer a helping hand.
This heartbreaking scene brought tears to the rescuers’ eyes, but when they found out what really happened to them, they were angered.
One of the siblings was involved in a very terrible accident, and their previous owners abandoned them on the street, making them fend for themselves.
Help Is Here
Luckily, these adorable siblings no longer had to live life on their own. Their new hooman was determined to rescue them and provide them with the best life they could ever imagine.
Pataco and Patacona were only two months old and were in desperate need of medical attention.
The rescuer quickly and carefully picked them up and brought them to their home to give them a yummy meal before taking them to the vet.
Both pups appeared to have skin issues as well as malnutrition and parasites. It seems as though Patacona had been severely abused, resulting in the misalignment of her spine, preventing her from walking.
After taking them to the vet for a thorough checkup, it was recommended that Patacona wear a neck-to-tail brace so that her spine could be properly aligned again. Luckily, she is a very brave girl who was completely competent throughout the entire process.
She and her brother also got prescribed medication that would help heal their skin as well as get rid of their parasites.
Little Miracle
It only took Patacona fifteen days after putting on the brace to start walking again. Seeing her being able to step on all four of her paws really made her rescuers cry tears of joy.
And, after a month, she was even able to run.
This sweet girl loved the fact that she was finally able to be a puppy, running around and having fun. And, even though she still needs her wheelchair sometimes, she does not let that stop her from living her best life.
Spending time with her brother was one of her favorite activities, and even though she was a bit sad when he got adopted, she knew that he was going to have a good life with his new hoomans and that she would see him again one day.
But, for now, she still needed to recover as she had gotten surgery that would allow her to walk freely.
She is spending her days with her loving rescuers and her new furry sibling who are making sure that every day is full of love, happiness, and fun.
She did not let her dark past define her and is fully embracing her new life.
I am sure that Patacona will only make happy memories from now on and that nothing bad will happen to her ever again!
